The original seascape painting «Dances With Waves» measures 36x36 inches and is in a private collection now.
For inspiration and reference I used my friends (Mechelle Adelle) photo of a cloudy morning in Florida, but didnt stick to it, I simplified it and added a painterly touch.
Here I offer an insight into my technique and hope that all my artist-friends will find it useful or at least entertaining. Youre most welcome to try out some techniques I taught myself over the years.
I used only 4 colors to create this cloudy ocean waves painting: Ultramarine blue, Viridian, Burnt Sienna and Alizarin Crimson (and of course Titanium White). I also used Liquin as a medium.
I really love and recommend brushes from my favorite supplier Princetonbrush.com: several sizes filbert brushes from Aspen series, #9 Catalyst angle bright, 1/2" oval mop from Velvetouch series and 3" wide angle brush from Aspen series.
This painting took me 2 sessions x 4 hours and I let it dry completely in between them.

Which of us would not admire the greatness and power of the mountains? The most vivid and colorful imaginations of every boy’s childhood dream is to reach the top of the highest mountain and become the first hero and prove to my friends and all the girls in the world that I know only the secret that is so diligently covered in its snow-white thick veil (thick veil) and not the strength will end and there will be the courage of this young heart to enter this small narrow path dotted with stones and begin its new ascent path. “But it’s also dangerous, it’s difficult, it’s stupid,” the timid always said.
And the heart had wings, wings of an eagle and rose higher and higher. Soared over the valleys and waterfalls, over the rocks. What a clear blue! What freshness of air in transfusion with aromas of beautiful flowers and plants! These deep shadows and mists now appear, then melt like dew from the rising of the first rays of the sun. Yes, and we, the guys over the years, sometimes think: or maybe we can pretty much stay on the soft sofas, enough strength is enough; pack a backpack and try not only to dream but also… forward…
I have been to the mountains and it is amazingly beautiful, and you have experienced this too.
And what did I manage to portray on canvas? You decide.

I painted this picture, remembering the summer, if you look closely at my landscape, you can see all the beauty of our wonderful land. The clouds draw their beautiful pattern in the sky, and shine in different colors. The expanses of our region are unusually beautiful, and I tried to convey this in my picture and convey the mood that I once experienced.
In this picture, there is almost everything that a person loves (such as me)
Here flows a small river in which various fish and insects live, next to it is the lush green grass, illuminated by the sun.
If you look at the grass, you can see that it is gently caressed by the wind, swaying it in different directions.
Flowers fill this landscape with their colorfulness and abundance, giving their aroma for many kilometers.
The forest shines from the fact that the sun abundantly gave its sunbeams and wade through the leaves to the ground.
In this picture you can feel clean and warm air that pleases me with its unforgettableness.

In the summer I often travel in nature to paint, take brushes, paints, canvas and paint the beautiful expanses of our world.
